Issac Millman has written stories on a little Boy named Moses which is deaf. The books are written to relate to deaf children. Moses does regular activities that a non deaf child would do. The books include: Moses goes to a play, Moses goes to the circus, Moses goes to school, Moses goes to a concert.
Today in my voyager class the students read about a deaf girl who played four different sports and they were blown away. I was looking for another book for them to read about deaf kids . Thank you
ReplyDeleteWOw I was not aware of this author and his style to write about deaf children. I have a friend who has a deaf son. He has trouble interacting with non deaf children I think these books would help him feel normal and relate well to them.
